Was CM punks speech fake or real?

i know that CM punk's speech was a "shoot" and the suspension was "kayfabe". Others say that this was all part of the act for punk's departure from the WWE. And of course, we all know the WWE is scripted. But the speech sounded all too convincing. was it real or scripted?
