Kneecap dislocated again? help! 10 points!?

Okay so about four weeks ago I had knee surgery (arthroscopic). I had a dislocated kneecap and lateral release. Well so I've been going to therapy 2-3 times a week and doing daily exercises at home. My knee has been pretty swollen the past couple weeks. Yesterday, my therapist said that my kneecap had moved a little bit out of place. So she taped it. Should I talk to my doctor about a brace? What do I do?
