On my yahoo Messenger I cant see the messages people send me?

it show a preview on the bottom right of the screen but when somebody types to me its shows up blank I've tried everything from checking my scripting its all enabled that's suppose to be enabled i deleted java reinstalled java deleted yahoo reinstalled yahoo deleted IE and reinstalled and nothing I'm still coming up blank on when someone types me Ive tried everything so anyone got a clue on how i can see my messages and offline messages
