How long does it take to master basics for color guard?

it really just depend on the certain person. Im a fast learner so when i first started i got it pretty fast, however even after four years of color guard and winter guard i still suck at parallels and 45's. Just keep working at it and don't give up! if you still cant get it, ask your coach if she can break the counts down for you again, im sure she/he would be glad that you took the initiative to ask for help. good luck!
