Television/Movie Script Writing Tips?

I want to write for television and maybe movies. I prefer comedy but I like throwing in some action, anyway I have a lot of ideas in my head for a tv show ideas and movies but I want to now how I can expand my characters and what to do for ideas for each episode etc. Really anything helpful that has to do with script writing will be greatly appreciated. :-)
