Why did God create races? Did he not know that it would turn out horribly?

I mean if you look back on all of the horrible things that have happened in this world, it has always been about race and religion. I'm a Christian and I love God, but, sometimes I just don't understand God is all knowing, couldn't he have foreseen all the hatred and negative affects creating races would cause? Did he not see that one would dominate? Did he not know others would suffer? Did he not know? or did he not care?
